This classic beach umbrella is durably constructed with 5mm zinc-plated steel ribs, stainless steel springs, marine grade acrylic fabric, and an Ashwood pole offering lasting longevity and incredible sturdiness. The umbrella's rib pockets are triple layered to prevent tearing, as well. The umbrella easily lifts with a manual push-up device. This umbrella shade features super durable 9-oz.fabric and color is ingrained in every fiber, resulting in less chance of fading. At 9 oz. fabric, it's much heavier than the standard 4.5 - 6.3 oz. fabrics used in other umbrellas. This acrylic fabric is engineered for shade structures and features a very stiff, tight construction and a heavy finish to last long time compared to other polyester/cotton/olefin fabric. SUPERIOR WARRANTY: Manufacturer's 10 year fading guarantee non-commercial use and 2 years on frame under normal use. The Real Deal

These are real high quality umbrellas with heavy fabric, strong steel struts and clevises. They have brutally strong wooden poles with a long tapered end point that make it easy to rock down deep into the sand. They are the exact same model they rent on the beach here in Rehoboth Beach DE. When the wind bends, folds or blows away the cheap umbrellas these seem unaffected. The bag has a separate sleeve for the pole so it's easy to put in even after the umbrellas is in the bag. The only caveats I would offer is that they are a little tougher to erect than lightweight umbrellas. You have to be careful not to pinch you fingers when you put the pole sections together and it takes a mighty push to open the umbrella as the fabric and the struts are heavy and they are heavy to carry. These are best for short walks to the beach not long hikes unless you're strong. I'm buying two more. After owning one of these Frankfords, the other umbrellas I own seem like a joke.
